Engagement Rate Explained With Examples
Engagement rate tells you how many people respond to your content compared with how many could have.
- UPI, PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm
- Start from ₹100
- No email verification
- Order status in your dashboard
The formula
The common formula is (likes + comments + saves + shares) ÷ followers × 100. Some people divide by reach instead of followers, which is more accurate for individual posts.
Example
A post gets 300 likes, 20 comments, 15 saves and 10 shares on an account with 10,000 followers. That is 345 actions, or 3.45 percent.
Rough ranges for Instagram
- Under 1 percent: low
- 1 to 3 percent: average
- 3 to 6 percent: good
- Above 6 percent: very strong, common on small accounts
